A New Flu Forum On The Web

# 233

Flu forums on the Internet are an excellent resource for those wishing to dig deeper into the world of the H5N1 virus, and the potential for an avian flu pandemic. They range in quality from simply awful to excellent, and each ultimately develops a focus, and a personality of their very own.

The great granddaddy of them all is the Fluwiki, but many others exist and are worth visiting. I personally belong to, and participate in four of them, although I can generally be found at PlanForPandemic most of the time.

Over the weekend a new forum emerged, inspired by Monotreme’s Pandemic Flu Information Blog. While still in its infancy, the early membership list shows great promise, and I would expect this to become an active and interesting forum.

I’d like to wish Monotreme and Dude, along with their moderators Pixie, Science Teacher, and Nightowl great success with this new informational outlet.
