Radio Interview

# 2800

Yesterday, in what must have been a moment of insanity, the host of Radio Sandy Springs (1620 AM) asked if I'd return for a 3rd appearance  on The Infectious Disease Show.

Having no better offers , I readily agreed.

The show - coming out of the Atlanta, Georgia area - is best heard on streaming audio on the Internet. The show will be archived for later listening on their site.

The show aired  at 4pm ET Monday Afternoon and was replayed at 6pm.

Sharon Sanders, editor of Flutrackers began the show with her regular weekly update of avian influenza news.

I  joined the host, David Moxley,  around 4:15.

The first ten minutes was spent on the Peanut Butter recall due to the salmonella outbreak.    In addition to giving the FDA, CDC, and HHS web sites out,  I also pitched BirdFluGov on Twitter, and www.pandemicflu.gov as good portals for information.

We discussed the recent NSW facemask study,  the EID Journal Handwashing study, and just started getting into Minnesota's discussion of Health Care rationing during a pandemic when we ran out of time.

So, next week we do it again.

The archive of the show should be up in a day or so as well, in case anyone is interested.
