The Saudi MOH has added an additional MERS case in the capital city Riyadh, and has announced the death of a 76 year-old man who was reported as infected on September 15th in Najran, near the Yemen border. The latest case is listed as a 60 year-old Saudi Male, who is in the ICU.
With the Hajj now just two weeks away, and more pilgrims arriving in the Kingdom every day, the recent uptick in cases (9 over the past 12 days) has renewed concerns over the spread of this emerging coronavirus after a relatively quiet summer.
