France: MOA Now Reports 83 HPAI H5N8 Outbreaks On Farms

The number of outbreaks of HPAI H5N8 continues to rise, with 83 farms affected since the first of December, all still confined to the same seven southwestern Departments in France. 

Gers remains the hardest hit, accounting for just over half of the cases, followed by Landes.

In addition to these H5N8 outbreaks we've also seen a handful of of other HPAI detections, including H5N5 and H5N9, along with numerous Low Path (LPAI) subtypes.
