Saudi MOH: 3 More MERS Cases In Riyadh

Raising the number of MERS cases reported in Saudi Arabia since the 1st of the month to 46, the MOH reports 3 new cases today - all from Riyadh - but only one is currently linked to the ongoing hospital outbreak we've been following for the past 2 weeks.

  • One of the cases, a 40 y.o. male, is listed as a `primary' case, with no stated risk exposure.
  • A second case, a 70 y.o. female - is listed as secondary, hospital patient - who is listed in critical condition.
  • A third case, a 59 y.o. male - also in critical condition - is under investigation.
Yesterday's WHO Update On Saudi MERS Clusters In Riyadh, provided details on cases reported through June 10th.  We should see another update in a few days, that will hopefully shed more light on these cases.
