H7N9: Jiangsu Reporting 2 New Cases

Three provinces have now reported fresh cases of H7N9 this morning, with 2 cases in Henan, 4 cases in Zhejiang, and now 2 cases in Jiangsu province.

 

This brings the running (and rapidly changing) total to 57 cases, and 11 deaths.

 

This announcement comes from the Jiangsu Provincial health Department (which unfortunately, does not include onset dates or patient status).

Patients Ryu, male, 50 years old, live in Qixia District. On April 14, the provincial expert group diagnosed cases of human infection of H7N9 avian influenza confirmed cases. Treatment in a hospital in Nanjing. After investigation, the close contacts of the cases of a total of eight people, far showed no abnormality.

 

Patients with a single, male, 26 years old, live in Yancheng City Pavilion Lakes. On April 14, the provincial expert group diagnosed cases of human infection of H7N9 avian influenza confirmed cases. Currently in Yancheng a hospital for medical treatment. After investigation, the close contacts of the cases there were 21 people, far showed no abnormality.
