A Flu Blog From Iran

# 663

I'd like to extend a personal welcome to Arash Ghalyanchi, a Ph.D student of poultry disease on the Faculty of Veterinary medicine University of Tehran, who emailed me an let me know about his two avian influenza blogs.  One is in English, and the other in Farsi.

I will add a link to his site on my side panel later today.

It is always great to find more flu bloggers, but of particular interest to find one maintained by a knowledgeable person in an area from which we hear little news.  While his site mostly contains news items, I'm hopeful we will see some personal commentary and opinion on this site.

The site is called Avian Influenza News.

The English version can be viewed here.

The Persian (Farsi) version can be viewed here.

An indication of how valuable having a voice coming out of Iran can be, Dr Ghalyanchi is carrying a report on 1,100,000 fowl culled in Iran.

Note: This story was updated with new details since original post.
