Egyptian Media Reports 28th H5N1 Fatality

A hat tip to Commonground of Pandemic Information News for posting on FluTrackers this report of a new H5N1 fatality in Egypt.   This is case #91, which which was reported in the Arabic Press a week ago (see Egypt Reports 91st H5N1 Infection) and was recently `confirmed by the SAIDR website.

 

The SAIDR report, however, had the patient listed as being in `stable condition’ as of January 13th.

 

 

Today, according to Arabic News reports, this patient has lost her battle with the virus, making her Egypt’s 28th bird flu fatality.
