KSA Announces Two More MERS-CoV Deaths

News out of Saudi Arabia regarding their MERS-CoV outbreak has all but disappeared over the last week, but today KSA’s MOH has posted the following update, indicating two more patients have died, while three have recovered.

 

 

 

MOH: "Three Cases of Novel Coronavirus Recovered and Two Cases Passed Away"

Within the framework of the epidemiological surveillance of the novel Coronavirus (MERS-CoV), the Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced that three cases, who had been previously announced to be infected with this virus, have been recovered, May Allah be praised. The first case is for a 61-year-old citizen in Al-Ahsa governorate. The second case is for a 41-year-old Saudi female in Riyadh region. The third case is for a 50-year-old Saudi female in the Eastern region.

 

Furthermore, MOH has announced the death of a 75-year-old citizen in Al-Ahsa governorate, that is to be added to a 63- year-old Saudi female who passed away in Riyadh, among cases who had been previously announced to be infected with this virus, May Allah have mercy upon them. Within the same vein, MOH has pointed out that 569 samples have been  tested at laboratories since the last statement, where all of them have been proved negative, May Allah be praised, except what have been published.
