UAE’s Proximity to Saudi Arabia
# 8094
Over the past week or so our attentions have been directed towards the evolving H7N9 story in China, while news of the MERS coronavirus in the Middle East has – temporarily, at least – slowed. Saudi Arabia’s case count has remained static for a couple of weeks, and we’ve only seen one WHO MERS GAR update during that time.
Although I’ve not found anything official on the Dubai Health Authority website, this morning multiple Arabic media sources are reporting that a 68 year-old man has been diagnosed with the MERS Coronavirus in Dubai.
If confirmed, according to FluTrackers MERS Case Count List, this would make the 12th case reported from the United Arab Emirates.
The following report from www.emaratalyoum.com is representative of the other reporting this morning from the UAE.
