After three days of no reports the Saudi MOH is back today with one symptomatic Health Care Worker in Riyadh testing positive for the MERS coronavirus, and one asymptomatic primary camel contact case in Hofuf.
This HCW report comes 6 days after a 25 y.o. male patient was reported infected while in a Riyadh hospital, although we don't have confirmation the two are linked.
Similarly, 8 days ago Hofuf reported a primary (symptomatic) camel contact case. The discovery of a new asymptomatic camel-contact case in the same region suggests he was likely detected by the follow-up epidemiological investigation.
