France: Prophylactic Cull Ordered As H5N8 Poultry Outbreaks Jump To 95

With 95 farm outbreaks reported in just over a month, France's MOA has decided to begin a prophylactic cull of nearly all `healthy web-footed birds bred outdoors' in the three hardest hit departments (Gers, Landes, and Haute-Pyrenees), rather than waiting to cull individual outbreaks.

Details are available in this report from EFE. France to preventively cull 800,000 birds to deter bird flu propagation.

Meanwhile, another day brings another report from the MOA, adding 6 more outbreaks since Tuesday's report.
