South Africa : 4 More H5N8 Poultry Outbreaks, 7 In Wild Birds

The OIE is reporting a substantial jump in the number of HPAI outbreaks in South Africa today, with the total number rising from 24 to 35.  Four new poultry outbreaks - all in the Western Cape Province - are joined by 7 new wild bird detections.
Six of those non-poultry outbreaks come from the Western Cape Province, while the 7th comes (for the first time) from South Africa's North West Province, near Rustenburg.
