The world media is reporting the fifth confirmed fatality since January 9th in Indonesia due to the H5N1 virus.  This lead from the AP.

Indonesian Bird Flu Death Toll Up to 62

JAKARTA, Indonesia (AP) -- A 19-year-old Indonesian woman died of bird flu, a senior Health Ministry official said Saturday, raising the country's death toll to 62.

The woman, from a village in West Java province, died on Friday after being hospitalized for three days, said Nyoman Kandun, the ministry's director general of communicable disease control.

"She had contact with dead poultry six days before hospitalized," Kandun said

Yesterday I reported here on the death of an Indonesian woman in a west Java hospital, suspected of having contracted the bird flu virus.

While the age (19) of the patient reported to have died does not match the age reported of Titin, the general location and admission date do match.  Presumably they are one and the same, but we will have to wait for clarification to be certain.

 UPDATE : 08:30 EDT

The media is now reporting that this latest fatality is, indeed, Titin, age 19, who passed away yesterday.
