China: Zhejiang Reports 3 New H7N9 Cases – Case Count 43

Another report, this time from Zhejiang Province (h/t @healthmap for tweeting a media account), indicates that three more H7N9 avian flu infections have been diagnosed – bringing the total to 43 case, and 11 deaths.

Zhejiang Provincial Health Department informed that, as of April 12, 2011 18:00 April 12, Zhejiang Province, added three cases of human infection with the H7N9 avian influenza.

 

Patients Lee, male, 66 years old, retired, Hangzhou. Onset on April 8th, 9th admission to a hospital. The 12th, Zhejiang CDC report patient specimens positive for H7N9 avian influenza virus nucleic acid.

 

Patients Hemou, male, 74 years old, retired, Hangzhou. Onset on April 6, 11, admitted in a hospital in Hangzhou. 12th, Zhejiang CDC report patient specimens positive for H7N9 avian influenza virus nucleic acid.

 

Patients Wu, female, 54 years old, farmers, Huzhou. Incidence on April 6, the 12th admitted to a hospital in Huzhou. 12th, Zhejiang CDC report patient specimens positive for H7N9 avian influenza virus nucleic acid.

 

I Office Organization expert on the clinical manifestations of the three patients, epidemiological data and laboratory test results to discuss the diagnosis of human infection confirmed cases of the H7N9 avian flu.
