KSA Announces 66th MERS-COV Case

On the day that the World Health Organization  convenes an emergency committee meeting to discus the potential public health impact of the MERS coronavirus (see WHO On The MERS-CoV Emergency Committee Meeting), the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has announced their 66th lab confirmed case; a 66 year old man from Asir.

 

Epidemiological details are - as we’ve seen with earlier reports from the Saudi MOH all but absent. We are also informed that a healthcare worker - previously diagnosed - has recovered.

 

 

MOH: ‘A New Confirmed Case of the Novel Coronavirus Recorded in Asir .. One Case Recovered in Hafr Al-Batin’

Within the epidemiological surveillance of the Novel Coronavirus (MERS-CoV), The Ministry of Health (MOH) announces that a new confirmed case of this virus has been recorded for a 66-year-old Saudi male in Asir, but his health status is stable.

 

Furthermore, MOH announces that a female resident of the health practitioners,  who had been previously announced to be infected with this virus in Hafr Al-Batin, has been recovered, May Allah be praised.

 

It is worth mentioning that, the MOH has tested 103 samples from various regions since the last statement, given that, all of them have been proved negative, May Allah be praised, except the cases that have been published.
