During the winter epidemic season, H7N9 case reports tend to straggle in from China between 4am EST to 2pm EST (5pm-2am Hong Kong time), so given the volume we're seeing, it makes sense to try to summarize the day's activity in mid-afternoon rather than writing a half dozen (or more) separate blogs. Particularly since many of these case reports are scant on details.
Of course, if something particularly noteworthy occurs - like today's imported case in Macao - I'll always try to blog that at my earliest opportunity.
The best, and most current list - as always - can be found on FluTrackers. Maintained by Sharon Sanders, and product of a lot of hard work by a number of volunteer newshounds - her case lists of H7N9, H5N1, H5N6, H9N2 and MERS represent thousands of hours of endeavor, and go back many years.

Over the past 24 hours the FT newshounds and I have picked up 8 `new' H7N9 cases from 6 provinces. These are those we can reasonably identify as recent, and are either reported by provincial government sites or state approved Chinese media.
The additions to the FLuTrackers H7N9 Case List over the past 24 hours include:
#933 - Male, 41, [Pingmou], poultry trader, hospitalized, Foshan, Guangdong province
#934 - Male, 60, [Gu Mao], hospitalized in Shanghai, lives in Hebei Province
#935 - Female, 55, [Liu], hospitalized in critical condition in Nanchang, from Yichun, Jiangxi province CHP rpt 9/1/17
#936 - Female, 50, hospitalized, Nanchang, Jiangxi province CHP rpt 12/1/17
#937 - Female, 31, poultry trade worker, hospitalized, Taizhou, Jiangsu province
#938 - Male, 17, student, poultry contact, hospitalized in Putian from Xiamen, Fujian province
#939 - Male, 57, [Yao], poultry contact, hospitalized in critical condition, Yiyang, Hunan province CHP rpt 12/1/17
#940 - Female, 72, hospitalized January 8 in Zhongshan, traveled to Macao and hospitalized again January 10, Zhongshan, Guangdong province
While we can't know how many cases aren't being reported (we saw more than 80 belatedly announced late last week for the month of December), it is a fair bet that there are more cases than are being reported (see Beneath The H7N9 Pyramid).
