Last Dance At the HHS Blog

# 922

My 5 of weeks blogging on the HHS Pandemic Leadership Blog is about to come to a close, and today I posted my sixth entry: Breaking the Barriers.

Writing for this blog has been more of a challenge than I expected, but I've found it to be rewarding as well.    Hopefully some increased awareness will come out of this experiment, and the HHS will have gained a better appreciation of the Flubie community.

Yesterday, Admiral John Agwanobi made his 3rd post and it is worth your attention.  In  Ideas Are Welcome, Admiral Agwanobi candidly admits that we don't know how bad the next pandemic will be, and opens the door to a subject few officials have been willing to discuss.  A scenario worse than 1918.

No one can predict with certainty what the next pandemic will look like. There are no guarantees or promises that can be made regarding its impact on society. The next pandemic may be mild, as in 1957 and 1968, severe, as in 1918, or somewhere in between. The next pandemic could even be worse than 1918. There is simply no way of knowing.

There will be a few more blogs posted over the next few days, and plenty of reaction, I'm sure.   If you haven't been visiting the HHS blog, you still have time.   The blog will remain open through June 27th.
