A handful of Flubies over at the Wiki have put together a petition, to be sent to the Honorable Tom Harkin, Chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Appropriations, Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies, calling for specific actions towards pandemic preparedness.

A group of us, bgw in MT, Carol@SC, Southernblueneck, and myself have written a petition to the Honorable Tom Harkin, Chairman of the Senate Subcommittee on Appropriations, Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies. We are hoping to secure at least 1,000 signatures for this petition which will be e-mailed to Senator Harkin and to each member of the Committee (15 Senators in all). We will then follow up with printed copies which I hope will be personally delivered to Senator Harkin. This petition is not sponsored by this website.
