Although outbreaks in poultry have been ongoing, the last few months haven't seen any confirmed human cases of bird flu in Egypt. That is, until this past week . . . when one woman died, and two more were hospitalized in what appear to be separate events.
Authorities are taking steps to try to detect the virus, and educate the public, in the wake of these new developments.
