The victim is a 56 year old man from the Fayoum region who reportedly died with pneumonia and a very high fever.
For now, this is just a suspected case, as test results are pending.
This is the first bird flu news of note out of Egypt since the Health Ministry announced the infection of a 2-year-old boy on April 17th. The child was hospitalized on April 14th, 21 days ago, and we've yet to hear an update on his condition.

توفيت في الفيوم أمس عجوز بأعراض مشابهة لمرض أنفلونزا الطيور، أثناء وضعها علي جهاز التنفس الصناعي في مستشفي الفيوم العام، كان قد تم احتجازها مساء أمس الأول، في مستشفي الحميات، وبعد تدهور حالتها تم نقلها إلي مستشفي الفيوم العام.
