# 2554

The newshounds on the flu forums are getting a workout today, with breaking news out of China and India, and now this report (hat tip Dutchy on Flutrackers) out of Indonesia.

Tangerang has been the site of a number of other suspected, and confirmed, cases of human H5N1 infection.   It is located just to the west of the capitol, Jakarta.

The  most recent confirmed cases out of Tangerang were announced in September:

The victims, a 20-year-old male who died on July 31st, and a 38-year-old male who died on July ninth, both hailed from Tangerang city, west of Jakarta.

Today's story is, of course, just a suspected case.  No official confirmation has been announced.

Nevertheless, he could not follow up this incident because Sutinah was the resident Tangerang South that the authority was below Regional Government Tangerang. "Truly Sutinah died resulting from suspect bird flu," he said.

Contacted separately, Kasubid P2PL the Health Service of the Tangerang Regency, Dr Yully Soenar Dewanti claimed did not yet know had his resident who died resulting from bird flu.

He also claimed still carried out the checking of the truth of this rumour to the morgue of RSU (Regional Hospital) Tangerang.

Observation okezone in the morgue of RSU Tangerang, several officials of appearance did the body bathing place by using complete equipment like the white uniform, the mask, and special gloves bird flu.

A second story on this suspected case (also provided by Dutchy) comes from a blog written by an Indonesian, Dedi Mirwan, who lists his occupation as `journalist'.

The blog is called Karya Jurnalistik, which translates roughly to "The Work of Journalism".

Interestingly, he refers to some sort of  `positive blood test', although it isn't clear how, or where, that was obtained - or exactly what kind of test it was.

Both stories seem to indicate that any follow up of this case is unlikely.
