Overnight here in the States, Channel 3 News out of New Zealand has put together about a 10 minute special broadcast on the Swine Flu scare in that country.
As you probably are aware, a group of 25 students just returned home from Mexico, and of those 18 are reporting flu-like symptoms.
Of those 18, the media is reporting that four are suffering from `relatively serious’ symptoms.
Exactly what that means isn’t immediately clear. The majority of students are said to be suffering from `mild’ symptoms.
Testing is incomplete, but early results are suggestive of possible Swine Flu infection.
Some of the details (like the now ruled-out suspect case in London) are already obsolete, but for the most part this is a pretty good report.
It certainly gives the viewer a taste of how other countries are reporting this story.
