Referral: Spare Change Blog

# 3129

Nedra Kline Weinreich writes the Spare Change blog on social marketing.  Coincidentally, she and I both began our blogs during the same week of January, 2006, although our paths would not cross until the early summer of 2007.

That summer, the HHS asked about a dozen bloggers from a number of sectors to participate in their 5-week long Pandemic Leadership Blog.  There you will find dozens of blogs, and hundreds of comments, archived and available on the net.

It was a bold experiment, and produced a rough-and-tumble exchange at times.  Although held two years ago, it is still well worth visiting.

Nedra and I were among those invited, and she produced 4 thoughtful blogs for the project.  Since then she has remained active in the public health/pandemic social media arena.

Last night she put her thoughts over this still-evolving A/H1N1 outbreak into a blog.

I refer you to it, not because she very kindly mentioned me in it, but because she makes a number of excellent points about complacency and where we go from here.
