# 4281

Commonground, newshound extraordinaire – editor of Pandemic Information News and a frequent contributor to FluTrackers - has amassed an amazing number of bird flu and infectious disease reports out of Vietnam this morning.

It appears that with the arrival of cooler weather, bird flu is heating up in that country.   Thus far, we are only hearing about affected poultry.

Human H5N1 infections, if they are occurring, have not been recently announced.   As of December 30th, Vietnam has reported 112 confirmed cases of H5N1 infection, and 57 deaths.

A brief listing, therefore, of some of these reports (follow the links), and a big hat tip to Commonground for her work finding, translating, and posting these reports.
