Health authorities have detected the first case of coronavirus in Spain. This is a woman of Moroccan origin living in Spain, who had traveled to Saudi Arabia in October. The hit, which is admitted to the Hospital Puerta de Hierro Majadahonda (Madrid) from November 1, is not in danger. The Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality reported Tuesday that his prognosis is "favorable and stable".

The ministry and the Community of Madrid are now identifying closer contacts of the patient to make sure they are not infected by the new coronavirus. This respiratory pathogen was detected by the Agency of Health Protection in the UK (HPA) in 2012 on a 48-year catarí had been transferred to the UK. Since then the virus has affected 150 people - mostly in Saudi Arabia, where the focus - and killed 40. The in Spain is not the first case identified in Europe. Patients have been detected in the UK (two cases), Italy (one case), Germany (two) and France (one case), who had also imported the pathogen from the Arabian peninsula.

Most people affected by this virus, the Ministry of Health recalls in a note, have acute respiratory illness with symptoms of fever, cough and difficulty breathing. Ana Mato department ensures that an imported case, as detected in Madrid, and which have been established control measures "no risk to public health in Spain".

At this time, I’ve not found an official report from the Ministry of Health.  I’ll update as more details become available.
