Saudi MOH Announces 2 Primary MERS Cases In Riyadh

#11,026

After a very quiet couple of months the number of MERS cases reported by Saudi Arabia has begun to surge, with two more primary cases announced today in the capital city of Riyadh.

`Primary cases’ are those that occur in the community when there is no known exposure to a health care facility or to a known human case.  Over the past 3 years, roughly 40% of Saudi cases are listed as either `primary’ or as from an undetermined origin.

Today's report makes six cases announced over the past 6 days.
