Just a head's up. Later today the CDC will hold a special COCA call to update clinicians on this year's severe influenza season.
Primarily of interest to clinicians and health care providers, COCA calls are designed to ensure that practitioners have up-to-date information for their practices. They can, however, provide important insights to other groups as well.Details on today's presentation follow:

Overview
Influenza-related hospitalization rates so far in the 2017–2018 season are exceeding milestones set during the 2014–2015 season—a high severity, H3N2-predominant season. During this COCA call, CDC flu experts will address clinical issues for influenza patients, including those with severe disease, and provide the latest updates on the 2017-2018 influenza season.
