Saudi MOH Reports 2 New MERS-CoV Cases
#13,242
The Saudi MOH has posted MERS reports for April 2nd & 4th (skipping the 3rd) on their English language surveillance page. A quick check of the Arabic site shows an entry for the 3rd, showing no new cases, recoveries or deaths.
For April 2nd, a new primary case (58, male, stable condition, with no listed risk contact) is reported from Najran, along with two recoveries.
For April 4th, a 57 y.o. female from Riyadh - who is listed as a secondary household contact - is reported in stable condition. Two more recoveries are also noted, leaving 9 people under care for MERS in KSA.
The most recent previous report from Riyadh is of a 64 y.o. male on the 23rd of March, who was listed in critical condition. It is possible this case is from the same household.
