For the third time in 12 days we've a MERS case in the Qassim region of Saudi Arabia, all located in and around Buraidah. The first report was on May 28th, which included a 26 y.o. male from Buraidah, listed as `primary' with unknown camel contact.
Yesterday we saw a secondary case - presumably a contact of the first case - reported from Qusaiba City, which is located about 40 miles NNW or Buraidah.Today we've a third case, involving a 28 y.o. male from Unaizah City, which is located about 18 miles south of Buraidah. According to the MOH, today's case had recent contact with a camel.
Despite the relatively close proximity to the recently reported cluster, we've no indication if this case is related.
