Over the last 12 days, and for the final week of Ramadan, we've not seen any MERS cases reported by the Saudi MOH. Their last report was on May 28th, which included two cases; including a 26 y.o. male from Buraidah, listed as `primary' with unknown camel contact.
Today, the Saudi MOH reports 2 new cases, including a secondary case (M,55) from Qusaiba City, which is located about 40 miles NNW or Buraidah.Given the amount of information provided, it isn't possible to confirm these two cases are linked, but the case on May 28th is the only one we've seen reported from the Qassim region in the past two months.
Today's second case is a 65 y.o. male from the Eastern Region, with reported recent camel contact.
