While we await the press conference following today's WHO IHR Emergency meeting, earlier today news broke that a Congolese woman traveled to Uganda last week to sell fish, and while there fell ill. She returned home and died on the 15th from Ebola, making this the second confirmed cross-border incident in the past month.
While no additional infections have been identified from this breach, contact tracing is ongoing, and concerns are understandably elevated.A short while ago the Ugandan MOH and @WHOUganda released the following joint statement on their respective twitter accounts.
