The Saudi MOH has announced the second MERS case of Epi Week #47, which is the 11th case of November. Today's case involves a 42 y.o. male who is listed as a `primary' case - with unknown camel contact - from Yanbu City.
While the level of MERS activity has dropped considerably since its peak in 2014-2015, the number of MERS cases reported by KSA in the first 11 months of 2019 is already 25% higher than was reported in all of 2018 (n=142).
