While nCoV2019 has garnered most of our attention the past couple of weeks, we've also been following a serious of outbreaks of HPAI H5N6 in western Xinjiang Provice (see here and here), which continues with a report (dated yesterday) from China's MOA of a 4th outbreak.
This latest outbreak is located roughly 200 miles east of the first three events, suggesting that HPAI H5N6 - which has been greatly subdued following China's massive poultry vaccination campaign of 2017 - may be circulating in migratory birds in Western China.
