HK Raises Response Level To Emergency - Announces School Closures

Although it hasn't appeared on any of the official Hong Kong government websites yet, multiple media outlets are reporting that Hong Kong's Chief Executive Carrie Lam held a press conference a shot time ago and declared a `virus emergency'.

Hong Kong leader Carrie Lam has declared a virus emergency in the city of 7.3 million, extending school cancellations until February 17 and canceling all official visits to mainland China.

I can now confirm the Hong Kong CHP website has changed their response level from `Serious' to `Emergency'.
