Reuters Report: WHO Warns On `Limited Human-to-Human' Spread of Novel Coronavirus

UPDATED:  In the past hour Reuters has issued an update that modifies the original story (which said there `has been' limited H-2-H spread) to now state there `may have been'.

While I much prefer to use original source material rather than rely on a media report, this morning Reuters is quoting a WHO official as stating that there has been `limited human-to-human' spread of China's emerging coronavirus - mostly in `small clusters in families' -  but I've yet to locate a WHO press release, transcript, or audio recording.

You can read the brief Reuters report in:
WHO says new China virus could spread, it's warning all hospitals

None of this is particularly surprising, as we already have six other coronaviruses (including SARS & MERS-CoV) that have demonstrated the ability to spread from human-to-human, and dozens of others that can affect other mammalian hosts.

When I can find the original source material, or an official reference to these statements, I will either amend this blog post or write a new one.
