Media: MOH Warns Japan Entering `New Phase' Of COVID-19 Spread

Local and international media are reporting on comments delivered by  Japan's Health Minister  Katsunobu Kato - following a meeting with a panel of experts today - where he warned that recent community acquired coronavirus cases suggest that Japan is "entering a new phase" in the outbreak.

"We want to ask the public to avoid non-urgent, non-essential gatherings. We want elderly and those with pre-existing conditions to avoid crowded places." - Katsunobu Kato
