Avian Flu Diary: CDC: 2 COVID-19 COCA Calls This Week (Tues / Weds)

As the number of COVID-19 cases surge across the nation the CDC continues to issue new guidance to all sectors of the public on dealing with this pandemic. One of their primary ways of conveying information to Clinicians and others in the Healthcare field is through COCA (Clinician Outreach & Communication Activity) Calls; essentially 1 hour webinars.

These presentations are often technical, and are of greatest interest to clinicians and healthcare providers, but also may be of interest to the general public.

This week the CDC already has two COCA Calls scheduled (Tues/Weds), and while the live streams are going to be heavily attended - and some may have difficulty logging on - the CDC has been getting the archived video up in a matter of hours.

The CDC is also rolling out additional guidance, almost on a daily basis, and I'll be highlighting much of that in this blog. But for the latest, always check the CDC's CORONAVIRUS webpage.
