Although math models based on exported cases and anecdotal reports indicate that Iran's outbreak is many times larger than is being reported, today their MOH announced the largest 1-day increase to date; 385 new cases and 11 additional deaths.
The country's official count - all accrued over the past 9 days - 978 cases and 54 deaths.

Identification of 385 Cases with Covid19 in the country/175 of them
The Director of the Public Relations and Information Centre in the Ministry of Health said: From noon yesterday to noon today, 385 new cases have been confirmed to Coveid 19 (new Coronavirus)in the country, bringing the total number of infected people in the country to 978.
In an interview with Webb, Dr. Kianoosh Jahanpour stated: "We don't have any problems with us. Among the new patients, 170 were related to Tehran; 44 were related to central; 31 were related to Alborz; 30 were related to Qom; 28 were related to Gilan; 17 individuals were in Razavi Khorasan; 13 individuals were in Isfahan; 11 cases were in Mazandaran; 8 were in Lorestan, 8 individuals Semnan, three individuals were from Hamedan; two are from Kermanshah; two are from Hormozgan; two are from Kerman; two are from South Khorasan; one is from Sistan and Baluchistan; and one is from Ilam.
He added: In the past 24 hours, regrettably, 11 of the country's diagnosed patients, 19 died and the total number of those killed during the disease rose to 54.
The Ministry of Health's spokesperson noted: Our most important recommendation is to prevent Cowid19 from afflicting our dear people, to observe personal and social health, as well as to avoid unnecessary travel and interurban traffic.
Jahanpour added: Fortunately, the number of cases with COID19 has increased, and 175 have so far improved./206
