On Tuesday (Nov 2nd) the CDC's ACIP (Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices) met and reviewed the data (link), and voted (14-0) to recommend administration of (two) reduced pediatric doses of the Pfizer COVID vaccine for children ages 5 to 11.
Yesterday, in CDC Statement On Recommending Pediatric COVID-19 Vaccine for Children 5 to 11 Years, we looked at the CDC's endorsement of this ACIP recommendation.
Today at 2pm ET, the CDC will hold a COCA call (webinar) for clinicians on administering the Pfizer BioNTech COVID-19 vaccination primary series in children aged 5–11 years old. These presentations are often technical, and are of greatest interest to clinicians and healthcare providers.
As always, If you are unable to attend the live presentation, these (and past) webinars are archived and available for later viewing at this LINK.
