It's a fairly quiet Sunday morning, exacerbated no doubt by the general reluctance of many nations to report `bad news', and the slow ramp up of reporting following the holidays.
That said, we do have an interesting 30 minute podcast from the CDC's Public Health Media Library which interviews Dr. Betsy Elsmo, an assistant professor of clinical diagnostic veterinary pathology at the Wisconsin Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory and the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine who was the lead author on a study we looked at in early November on HPAI H5 In North American Mammals.
EID Journal: HPAI A(H5N1) Virus Clade 2.3.4.4b Infections in Wild Terrestrial Mammals, United States, 2022
You can either listen online, or download the audio file and listen at your leisure. The transcript is available here.
This is just the latest addition to a library of over 330 freely available podcasts on Emerging Infectious Diseases covering a wide range of topics.
Of course, this is just one general topic. In total, there are more than 1,100 CDC podcasts online.
Highly Recommended.
