Referral: Ian Mackay on `Immune Amnesia' From Measles Infection

#18,413

Just over a dozen years ago I happily introduced my readers to Dr. Ian M. MacKay, an Australian virologist, talented graphic artist, and author of the Virology Down Under Blog.  Since then, Ian has produced hundreds of highly informative blogs, many of which I've highlighted in these pages.

Several times over the past couple of months, in blogs on our current (and growing) measles epidemic in the U.S., I've touched briefly on the topic of of acquired immune amnesia, from measles infection (see here, here, and here).

But this week Ian has a produced an in-depth explainer on both measles, and this adverse immunological impact from MeV infection, which is very much worth reading.

Follow the link below to read it in full, and consider subscribing to his excellent blog

Both highly recommended.

Measles takes your immune memories
