A tip of my hat to Crof at Crofsblog who has a link to a terrific interview of Dr. Michael Osterholm, the Director of CIDRAP, which appears today in the online paper MinnPost.com.
CIDRAP is the Center For Infectious Disease Research & Policy at the University of Minnesota, and over the years it has been an invaluable source of information and analysis – not only on pandemic influenza – but on a variety of pathogenic threats.
It’s a resource I trust, and go to often.
The interview, conducted by Dr. Craig Bowron, is long and informative, and very much worth your time to read.
Tapping Minnesota’s top H1N1 expert: Michael Osterholm
As the saying goes, it's hard to be a prophet in your own hometown. So perhaps that's why some Minnesotans are unaware that one of the world's authorities on the novel H1N1 virus is one of our own. Dr. Michael Osterholm is the head of the University of Minnesota's Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP). I spoke with him about the hard-charging H1N1 influenza virus.
