Shanghai: 2 Additional H7N9 Cases – Count Now At 20

A statement this morning from Shanghai’s Municipal Health Bureau describing two new H7N9 cases, one from Shanghai and the other from neighboring Anhui Province.

 

The latest cases are described as:

 

Shen, age 59, M, Retiree, Onset March 25th

Lee, age 67, M, ? , Onset March 30th

 

These latest two cases raise the total number of confirmed H7N9 cases in China to 20. 

 

 

 

 

Shanghai new confirmed cases of human infection with the H7N9 avian influenza in two cases

As of today (7th) 17:00, the city newly diagnosed cases of human infection of H7N9 avian influenza. Up to now, Shanghai has found 10 cases of human infection of H7N9 avian influenza confirmed cases, including four cases of death, and the other six cases being treated in isolation.

 

2 new cases as follows:

 

Patients Shen, male, 59 years old, Anhui, retirees. As of this afternoon, the city had a total of 10 confirmed cases, 194 close contacts carried out under medical observation. All close contacts, accumulated a fever with cough or sore throat and other symptoms in close contact, 2 people in Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center, treatment, laboratory tests have been to exclude the H7N9 avian flu.
