Although not as big a focus point for MERS cases as Riyadh or Taif, Najran - near the Yemen border – has reported 1 or 2 cases a month since late in the summer.
The last case we saw reported was 6 days ago (link) – that of a 28 year old ex-pat with `animal exposure’.
Today, the MOH is reporting another case – a 61 year old male in critical condition. While a source of infection has not been determined, nosocomial infection is under investigation.
