Japan's MAFF reports the 40th farm outbreak of Classical Swine Fever (CSF) the virus re-emerged - after an absence of 26 years - year ago. This is also the 30th farm outbreak reported since March the 7th.
While not considered as virulent as African Swine Fever (ASF), both are highly contagious among pigs, and can be economically devastating for pork producers, Neither disease poses a direct human health threat.Farm outbreaks were initially confined to Gifu and Aichi Prefectures, but over the past couple of months we've seen an expansion into the neighboring prefectures of Mie and Fukui, along with an even greater expansion in wild boar.

Confirmation of suspected affected animals of swine fever in Gifu Prefecture, about (40 case was in Japan)

Today, suspected affected animals of swine fever has been confirmed in wild boar positive confirmation point from there within 10km monitored which has been a Nakatsugawa City, Gifu Prefecture of the farm.
We are taken all possible measures for the quarantine measures for the disease.
