Hubei Province continues to be the epicenter of the Coronavirus outbreak in China, although yesterday's NHC update indicated 42% of China's cases were detected outside of Hubei Province.
Today Hubei's Health Commission announced an additional 1032 confirmed cases and 37 new deaths. Only 10 cases were reported as cured and discharged from the hospital. We should see the full NHC update in the next few hours.Hubei continues to report more fatalities (n=162) than cures and discharges (n=90), suggesting that prolonged in-hospital care is required even for stable patients, although at some point recoveries are expected far exceed deaths.

On January 29, 2020, 1032 new cases of pneumonia with new coronavirus infection in Hubei Province (including: 356 cases in Wuhan, 27 in Yellowstone, 31 in Xingyi City, 32 in Fuyang City, 54 in Yichang City, 50 cases in Jingzhou City, 49 cases in Jingmen City, 39 cases in Ezhou, 125 cases in Xiaoxian City, 172 cases in Huanggang City, 18 cases in Xianning City, 27 cases in Huzhou City, 15 cases in Enshizhou, 23 cases in Xiantao City, 10 cases in Tianmen City, 2 cases in the Subriver, 2 cases in Shennon Forest Area. There were 37 new deaths in the province (including: 25 in Wuhan City, 1 case in Jingzhou City, 1 case in Ezhou City, 3 cases in Xiaoxian City and 7 cases in Huanggang City). 10 new cases were discharged (of which: 7 in Wuhan City and 3 in Huanggang City).
As of 24 hours on January 29, 2020, a total of 4586 cases of pneumonia with the new coronavirus infection have been reported in Hubei Province (including: 2261 cases in Wuhan, 113 cases in Yellowstone City, 119 cases in Xingyi City, 163 cases in Fuyang City, 117 cases in Yichang City, 151 cases in Jingzhou City, 191 cases in Jingmen City, 123 cases in Ezhou City, 399 cases in Xiaocheng City, 496 cases in Huanggang City, 130 cases in Xianning City, 143 cases in Huzhou City, 66 cases in Enshizhou, 55 cases in Xiantao City, 44 cases in Tianmen City, 10 cases in Shenjiang City, 5 cases in Shennong Forest District), 90 cases have been cured and discharged from hospital, 162 deaths (including: 129 cases in Wuhan City, 1 case in Yellowstone City, Yichang City, Yichang City, 1 3 cases in Jingzhou City, 4 cases in Jingmen City, 2 cases in Ezhou City, 6 cases in Xiaoxian City, 12 cases in Huanggang City, 3 cases in Tianmen City and 1 case in Shenjiang City). There are still 4334 cases in hospital (of which 711 cases of critical illness and 277 cases of critical illness), all of which are treated in isolation in designated medical institutions. A total of 28,780 close contacts were tracked and 26,632 were still under medical observation.
