The World Health Organization has announced via email and twitter (see above) that they will reconvene the IHR Emergency Committee tomorrow to consider whether the Novel Coronavirus epidemic in China constitutes a PHEIC (a Public Health Emergency of International Concern).
Six days ago, when the case counts were still in triple digits, the WHO IHR Committee Declined To Declare Coronavirus A PHEIC. Over the past 6 days we've seen more than a 10-fold increase.The results should be announced early tomorrow afternoon (EST).

INVITATION TO A VIRTUAL PRESS CONFERENCE
GENEVA 29 January 2020 – The Emergency Committee on the novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) under the International Health Regulations (IHR 2005) is re-convened by the World Health Organization Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus Thursday, January 30th
The meeting is planned to start at 13:30 Geneva time and the press conference tentatively scheduled for 19:30 Geneva time
The Committee will advise the Director-General on whether the outbreak constitutes a Public Health Emergency of International Concern (PHEIC), and what recommendations should be made to manage it.
The Director-General’s decision, following the Committee’s advice, will be made public on WHO’s website and via a press conference (details below). The recommendations will also be made public.
