Iran MOH: 3513 COVID-19 Cases, 109 Deaths

#15,037

Although we generally get fragmented and government `curated' news out Iran, even the official reports paint a bleak picture of their battle against their COVID-19 epidemic, which only took off two weeks ago.
Today, Tasnim news reports that Iran Extends Closure of All Schools, Universities due to COVID-19 for another two weeks, and today's update from the MOH strongly recommends people stay home and `reduce unnecessary trips and minimize urban and intercity excursions'.
The official numbers cited below are likely just the tip of the iceberg, as testing is limited, and many people with milder illness are not going to hospitals.  It has also widely been reported - but is unverified - that the death toll is considerably higher than official reports would suggest.

Director of public Relations and Information Center of Ministry of Health announced:
Increasing the detection of Cowiid 19 to 3513 people in the country
The Director of public Relations and Information Center of Ministry of Health said: From 30 February to today, 15 March, and based on laboratory results, 3513 people were confirmed to have been 19 in the country.
Dr. Kianoosh Jahanpour, in an interview with WEBDA reporter, stated that, fortunately, the situation of improvement in the country has been increasing in Iran, so far 739 people have been improved and discharged, and hope that with medical and pharmacological measures, these statistics have a significant increase in the coming days.
Unfortunately, so far, in the country until today, 107 people have lost their lives, but it is important that the ratio of the most compelling cases of patients with a total of 19 people in the country are greatly reduced and the increase has increased dramatically.
Unfortunately, the provinces of Tehran, Gilan, Qom, Isfahan and central were the most common issues of the 19th-largest, and our strict recommendation is to reduce unnecessary trips and minimize urban and intercity excursions./206
