NHC 11am Update: T.S. Nicholas Forms, Threatens Texas Coast

Not unexpectedly, at the 11am update the National Hurricane Center has upgraded the INVEST in the Bay of Campeche that we looked at earlier today to a Tropical Storm, and has issued a Tropical Storm Watch for the Texas coast from the mouth of the Rio Grande to Port Aransas. 

While the current forecast discussion keeps this system a strong tropical storm, it has an abundance of warm water to feed off of, and intensity forecasts can sometimes underestimate a storm's potential.
